As I finish Confessions of a domestic failure I start to see some things in a different light. Just because you are a stay at home mom, working mom, single mom, homeschool, public school, private school, whatever path you have chosen really. We really are all just one in the same as moms. My kids may have done things sooner or later or at the same time as yours, but they still did them. I still cry when I have to discipline and praise when it’s a job well done. Maybe the message here is that we need to come together as moms and realize being a mom no matter how you do it, IS HARD. Choosing not to judge the mom that lets her kids climb into the grocery cart instead of picking them up and placing them there, maybe that mom doesn’t have the strength? We judge ourselves so harshly already. A sympathetic look and a smile can go a long way. I usually turn to on of my favorite sayings I read somewhere a while ago “what is that child doing to that poor mom?” Because you never really know what she’s going through. Can you relate? I know I can …..
